I'm Yana Litinskaya and I'm a vocal coach, jazz singer and emerging composer

In my work, I follow a comprehensive approach to voice development6 combining Phonopedic Method of Voice Development with contemporary vocal techniques(CVT/EVT)
To me, a comprehensive approach means not just teaching someone to sing, but teaching them how house their voice across every area of life -- work, family, career, hobbies. Because the voice is bigger that you think.

10 years of teaching, hundreds of voices, countless personalities -- and somehow I still haven't burned out.
Ive had the pleasure of working with singers and musicians at every stage of their journey, and what keeps me going is simple -- I genuinely enjoy sharing what I've learned and helping people discover what their voice is capable of.

Individual coaching

For those who want to work on their voice long-term and keep the results. 90 minutes fully focused on your voice: your goals, your challenges, and a clear plan to move forward. A single session or the start of something longer.

Format: In-person in Rome, online worldwide, 1.5 hours

I usually split the 1.5-hour lesson into two parts:

Technical part
where we warm up the vocal instrument, learn new techniques/skills, understand how your voice works, and learn to make singing safe and comfortable
Practical-artistic part
where we train the body to bring all the skills together and work on the song's dynamics. This also includes work on the lyrics/text.

Group lessons — online / in person

For those who want to sing together in a group and spend their time in a fresh, meaningful way

Format: 1.5 hours, in-person or online

I run in-person and online group lessons for beginner, amateur, and intermediate vocalists.

These are groups of 4-5 people, where we work on our voices together, build our own community, break a song down into vocal parts, and sing purely for enjoyment. The difficulty of the pieces can be adjusted on request.

We also work on individual material: each person has their own material that we work on as well, but within the group setting. In this format, we learn from one another and listen to my feedback on each song.

Vocal Training for Non-Singers

The goal of these intensives is to help professionals who work with their voice:

  • Avoid vocal fatigue
  • Learn to rehabilitate the voice after strain
  • Use vocal techniques and exercises within their profession

Price

Groups of 3 or more people.

Single 1.5-hour lesson: €20 per person.

With a package, each lesson costs just €15 per person.

Masterclasses

Format: a 3-hour session, offline or online

Do you run a dance school, and your instructors get tired from talking for long hours and their voices stop cooperating?

Or do you have a group of vocalist friends who would love to come to an intensive together and have a great time while learning something useful? Then my masterclass is for you.

Or maybe you simply love jazz? In that case, I could lead a jazz vocal intensive for you!

The topic of the intensive is up to you

Price

Standard length: 3 hours. The cost is €150 in total, shared equally among participants. Every extra hour is €50, also shared.

Group size: up to 8-10 people.

I like to keep my intensives as practical as possible. That’s why they start at 3 hours: no rushing, and plenty of time for each person. My goal is always for you to leave with real tools you can use in your daily life.

My Vocal Journey

After finishing music school as a piano major, I decided to become a vocalist — it happens. After a long search for where to study, I found a jazz school/college, and that’s where my vocal journey began, where I started learning the fundamentals of jazz.

I then moved to Saint Petersburg and began building my performing career there. I played with well-known, seasoned musicians in the city, performed at prominent concert venues, and played private events.

After 5 years in Saint Petersburg, I left a successful career as a freelance copywriter to go all in on jazz — my own performances, teaching, writing music. I decided to move forward and relocated to Europe, enrolling in a master’s program at Saint Louis College of Music, a private jazz college in Rome. Today I split my time between Poland and Italy, mostly based in Rome, where I’m finishing a Master’s in Jazz Vocal. In a year, I’ll graduate as a certified jazz vocalist.

Throughout my vocal journey, I’ve studied under teachers with different approaches, worked extensively on my own voice, and dug deep into anatomy, acoustics, phoniatrics, and contemporary methods of voice development.

My own path wasn’t an easy one — I had to relearn everything, moving from incorrect technique to correct technique. That’s why I know exactly how not to sing, and I can teach that too.

So I feel that I walked this difficult path for a reason: to pass this experience on to others and open up the possibilities of their voice.
